Rules and Regulations The case: an application for a declaration of non-recognition of a marriage formed on 1 June 2013 in Pakistan under sharia law. In 1995 the applicant at the age of six was involved in a major car accident and suffered a catastrophic brain injury. There was understandably a serious impact on the applicant’s mental health and cognitive functioning.
