MAPS Medical Reporting approved as an EWI Corporate Partner

bySimon Berney-Edwards

EWI is delighted to announce that MAPS Medical Reporting have been approved as a Corporate Partner.

MAPS Medical Reporting is the latest organisation to join EWI’s Corporate Partnership scheme. The scheme, which is open to any organisation who employs or manages a panel of experts, seeks to recognise those organisations which ensure the quality of their experts; ensuring they are appropriately qualified and encouraging staff or panel members to develop their skills as an expert witness.

MAPS Medical Reporting is a medical reporting organisation specialising in the provision of independent medico-legal expert witness evidence in claims for personal injury and clinical negligence across England and Wales. They are owned by a Trust, the MAPS Benevolent Trust, whose beneficiaries are UK charities.

Simon Berney-Edwards, Chief Executive Officer of EWI, said: “We are pleased to confirm MAPS Medical Reporting’s status as one of our Corporate Partners. The Membership Committee were particularly impressed the organisations approach to quality assessment and ongoing development of their experts’ practice. We are delighted to have them on board as one of our Corporate Partners.”

David Stothard, Managing Director of MAPS Medical Reporting, said “We are delighted to be partnering with the EWI, an organisation for whom we have great respect. We pride ourselves on consistently delivering high quality medico-legal expert evidence from our extensive panel of established expert witnesses. Both the judiciary and medical royal colleges have highlighted the value of focussed training and CPD for expert witnesses. The EWI have a great track record in delivering this and beyond that they provide a forum for networking, advice and a voice for the expert witness community. Their approach complements the support we offer to the expert witnesses on our panel, who strive for excellence in their work.”
