10 June 2022 Priya Vaidya 1613 Case Updates B (A Child), Re (Adequacy of Reasons) [2022] EWCA Civ 407 byPriya Vaidya The case: This appeal concerned the adequacy of a judgment leading to the making of a placement order in respect of E, a boy now aged 18 months. Proceedings were brought by the Local Authority, relying on the findings from the previous proceedings, the parents' denial of the previous problems, longstanding concern about the father's cannabis use, the mother's dependent personality style, the father's impulsivity and severely insecure attachment style, and the parents' inability to work honestly and openly with professionals.
