10 June 2022 Priya Vaidya 2389 Case Updates Commissioner of Police for the Metropolis v Bary [2022] EWHC 405 (QB) by Priya Vaidya The case: The Metropolitan Police Commissioner applied under the Counter-Terrorism Act 2008 for a statutory Notification Order in respect of the Defendant, Mr Bary. Mr Bary challenges the application on two grounds of which the second was that it would be an unnecessary and disproportionate interference with his right to respect for his private, family and home life under Article 8 ECHR.
