We have published extensive new resources on Alternative Dispute Resolution ('ADR') in the EWI Kwoledge Hub. ADR is likely to be increasingly used to resolve disputes following:

• the Court of Appeal judgment in James Churchill v Merthyr Tydfil Borough Council in which the court decided it could stay proceedings for, or order, the parties to engage in a non-court-based dispute resolution process,

• the subsequent amendments to the Civil Procedure Rules to promote the use of ADR,

• the enactment of the Arbitration Act 2025.
